These seemingly-simple bit of contract work involved multiple SMEs, sales, marketing, two rounds of legal review, and translations into ELEVEN languages.
The work was mostly project-management as we engaged an external studio to handle the PowerPoint animations and final design. In addition to serving as PM and creating the initial design for the video with color scheme, stock photography, and look and feel – I performed, recorded, and edited the English-language narration for the video.
The project was a global sales-enablement video distributed to retail employees highlighting AMD’s holiday campaign. The video featured eight devices with AMD processors and provided retail employees with information to help them promote the AMD-powered devices to customers. The devices were varied – some were laptops, some desktops; some were marketed to students and gamers, while others were geared toward Gen X parents and business travelers; and they were made my a variety of manufacturers including: Dell, Lenovo, Asus, and more. The project required close alignment with the marketing department for AMD and specifically the contact for each manufacturer. All language had to align with both the overall theme of the video and the marketing package for each device. Each device had very different branding in theme, color-scheme, and feel, but I worked to create a cohesive flow with an AMD feel leveraging product and stock photography to show how AMD is a brand that unites diverse populations and powers systems used by many different enthusiasts and professionals worldwide.
The project included 35 steps with multiple tasks in each.
